Project Description
Rotary Club of Bhaktapur proudly supported the VOICE Center in Sanga, Kavre, by providing essential training materials for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) participating in skill development programs. As part of this initiative, 25 trainees with disabilities are currently engaged in basic and advanced tailoring training aimed at enhancing economic inclusion and creating employment opportunities.
The club's Sergeant-at-Arms, Rtn. Udayaram Shrestha, contributed generously by donating over 600 meters of fabric. This in-kind support will be used during hands-on tailoring sessions, helping trainees refine their practical skills and build confidence in their craft.
This contribution reflects the club's strong commitment to empowering marginalized communities through vocational training and inclusive development. The training program is part of the broader VOICE Project, which focuses on promoting social and economic inclusion of PWDs through skills, capacity building, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The event, held on 15th July 2025 at the VOICE Center, marked a significant step towards creating an inclusive society where everyone, regardless of ability, has the chance to thrive.
