Project Description
Purpose of Plantation:
This event is part of the Rotary Club of Bhaktapur’s Strategic Plantation Plan (Phase 1) and aims to:
● Promote greenery and environmental sustainability
● Protect the land adjacent to the riverside from erosion and flooding
● Grow fruit-bearing trees for the benefit of the community
● Provide long-term benefits to thousands through a single tree
● Ensure year-round care and maintenance by local partners
This location was specifically chosen as the hospital area experiences annual flooding, making land protection a priority. Additionally, the site offers easy accessibility for Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, and other volunteers to maintain the plantation year-round.
Our shared vision is to transform this space into a green park with flowers and fruits, a healing space for patients, a peaceful environment for visitors, and a community asset for locals.
