Basic Education, Literacy and Adult Education Support

Under the focus area of Basic Education, Literacy, and Adult Education support , Rotary Club of Bhaktapur organized a small yet meaningful support program to promote inclusive education. Stationery and funds were distributed to four children, including children with disabilities, children of parents with disabilities, and a child of a single mother.
The basic stationery support—copies, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners—was contributed by Rtn. Binita Hada. In addition, four school bags were donated by Rtn. Khadananda Shiwakoit, while Rtn. Sunita Adhikari contributed NPR 2,000 and Rtn. Shree Shankhar Pradhananga also provided NPR 2,000 to further assist in the educational needs of these children.
All the materials and financial support were handed over to the focal person from Samanata Ko Lagi Aawaj, an organization working for equality and inclusion. The organization’s founder, Mr. Suresh Raj Bhandari, who is himself visually impaired, received the support on behalf of the children under his care.

The program emphasized inclusive education by supporting children from marginalized and vulnerable backgrounds.
