Project Description
Rotary Club of Bhaktapur successfully organized a Talk Program on “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” on 29th November 2025. The awareness session was facilitated by Krishneshwori Hada, focusing on the ongoing challenges of gender-based violence faced by girls and women in society.
During the program, the speaker highlighted that violence against all women and girls still exists silently within many households and communities. The session addressed the unspoken pain, emotional suffering, discrimination, domestic violence, and social pressures that many victims continue to endure without support or justice. The discussion also explored the root causes of gender-based violence, including unequal power dynamics, lack of awareness, harmful social norms, and gender discrimination.
Participants actively engaged in discussions on the importance of education, empowerment, awareness, and collective responsibility to create a safer and more respectful society for women and girls. The program concluded with a strong message encouraging everyone to speak against violence, support survivors, and promote dignity and equality in every home and community.
